Great post! I can relate....too much! :) Perfect in our imperfections.... perfect in our brokenness. This is the one that still baffles me.... I’m a master of the complex, and overwhelmed by the simple.

100 SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES: (Code of Conduct)

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”--Marianne Williamson

I’m an addict named Bruce. I have always been fascinated by words and their meanings. Through out my recovery (April 1st, 1994), I have compiled a list of 100 principles that I would like to share with you. My goal is to share with you my experience of practicing these principles in my own life. What are their meanings, how they apply to my recovery, and how it takes on new and a deeper meaning when spiritual is attached to it. I encourage anyone to comment and share their experience in practicing these principles in their own life, and recovery. I will post on each principle in their order. More will be revealed!!

Ive read your home page and it's full of inspiration. I especially liked your thoughts on forgiveness as I struggle with that to the point that I've not spoken to my mum for a long period of time. Deep down I know that the mess of my life is down to me and no-one else and thats hard to accept, although it seems easier to blame so I do not have to take responsbility for my actions. Look forward to reading your thoughts...........Donna

Hi Bruce,, thanks so much for the invite. Nice to know people from all over in recovery. We can never have too many people in life encountering the same problems, but living threw them without the use of drugs. my clean date is 9-11-1999. Have a nice day and hope to chat with you soon.
